Shout out & Thanks to Chris Robinson @ RH Technical Ind on the Walworth Ind Est Andover donating £100 towards his Euro FC winnings recently 🙏 See below the Companies Blog ... UEFA Euro charity giveawayA year overdue, the European Championships was thrilling to watch for all of us, bringing another bit of normality back into our lives with 30 days of Football! Like many companies around Europe, we held our own little staff tournament. However, considering how charities have struggled over the last year, RH wanted to add a charity donation to the pot. The winner of our tourney would also receive £100 for a charity of their choosing! We were going to triple this prize of our Euro charity giveaway if one of the three home nations won the final! Sadly, this didn’t happen. Maybe in Qatar next year? The RH company Euro 2021 staff tournament winner is… “Chris Robinson”.Chris is one of our very experienced Screen Printers and an important member of our team. He was rewarded with a £100 prize to donate to a charity of his choosing.Chris is an enthusiastic athlete and footballer. Therefore, he would like to give to a charity that is close to his heart. Chris has selected the Jamie G Sporting Trust who support youth sporting activities in the Andover area. The benefit a child gains from these clubs is long-lasting. Sports offer children better mental and physical well-being and add enhanced community spirit, with reduced anti-social behaviour. Proudly, this Trust has provided a controlled distribution of funds to help many financially constrained sporting clubs for the youth of Andover over the last 12 years.“Jamie G Sporting Trust awards financial grants for kit and equipment, supporting coaches that work with young people, and will consider other methods of support that align with our mission.”www.jamiegsportingtrust.org#jamiegsportingtrust#sportingyoung#charity #rhti #thankyou#community#andover... Hi everybody,Tommy here, Jamie’s Brother and Chairman of The Jamie G Sporting Trust.Sport has been one of the key factors in bringing us together as a community throughout the challenges that we’ve all faced in the last year. For the kids, it’s their chance to let loose, see their friends and continue to learn and grow. It’s quite amazing just how powerful the fabric of sport really is.From keeping healthy, to keeping belief…and everything in between. We are also being brought together by the success of the England Football team, as the nation cheers, and will continue to do so in volumes when the Olympics start. So today’s message is to remind you all that our application round for funding is open until further notice and that you should consider applying for your club/team/organisation.The criteria is easily explained and laid out on our website. We have been supporting our local community (SP10 and SP11) for over 10 years now and we aren’t stopping any time soon. But we need your help and your applications. Please go to www.jamiegsportingtrust.org for all the information. Thank you for supporting us and have a positive week. Tommy Gentleman ... See MoreSee Less

Finally .... Having awarded £799.61 to Andover Gemini Netball Club early 2020 (before COVID) Jacqueline Gentleman & Samantha Rogers were delighted to visit the Clubs training courts @ Andover Leisure Centre on Monday evening for the ‘cheque presentation’ support for training equipment for their Juniors. Jacqui expressed the importance of keeping active especially at a young age, & to enjoy & have fun with whatever sport they are doing. It was endearing to speak to some of the under 8 year olds, how confident they were & how much they enjoy being at Gemini Netball Club, & also to see so many Juniors playing Netball as it’s only the last few years it was mainly Adults. Well done to Sharon, Christine (Twin sisters) & all the helpers who take time out to help run this Club.Words of thanks from Sharon @ Gemini :The club were very grateful for a charity donation from the Jamie G Sporting Trust in early 2020.This charity is set up by a local family in memory of their son Jamie Gentleman. These funds have supported the cost of new equipment setting up the club & a cheque presentation was held recently on 28th June 2021. 💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤Gemini Netball Club would like to wish all our netball family a very happy and healthy new year.We would like to take this opportunity to reflect on how proud we are of our netballers and how as a club we have grown from strength to strength in such a short time.We had our launch party in October where we ran successful taster sessions which showcased the fun we would be having. We had full sessions with waiting lists right from the very first session. We have not had as many sessions as we would have liked due to the current restrictions but have worked hard to make sure we follow strict guidelines. The support has been amazing and due to demand, we are expanding with an additional session as soon as are able to restart when we will proudly have 75 members. We will be having a few opportunities to welcome volunteers to join in the fun so if anyone is interested please let us know and we can discuss further. We would like to thank all of our Gemini netball family, our sponsor Gloworm Solutions Ltd, Andover Leisure Centre, The Jamie G Sporting Trust and all of our family and friends who believed in our dream and helped make it a reality. This is only the start for Gemini Netball Club. Thank you for sharing our passion and this adventure with us.💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤 ... See MoreSee Less
In these testing times, sport can really act as an Avenue of positivity. Whether it’s the physical and mental release it gives us, the social experiences or simply the health benefits...Sport is more important than ever....Especially for our children. We want to remind all sports & activity clubs that we are here to support you. We do of course have an application criteria (that’s very important) but our message today is to please go ahead and apply for support. If you don’t ask us, how can we possibly know if we can help...Since we started (over 10 years ago) we, with the help of our community, have awarded over £150,000 in granted support and funding to local clubs and organisations in SP10 and SP11. All of it has gone towards helping young people to participate in sport. The very premise of our charity. So again, in these testing times, we can work with local clubs and organisations to help elevate some of the financial stress and burden that may have been caused by the pandemic. If we can help you (and your application passes our criteria) then that’s only going to help the health and well being of our children in the community, as well as reinforcing the strength of our already special network of sport that we have in our town. Applications can be made on our website. Please do share this and pass it on. NOTE: We must emphasise that we do have an application criteria. Our charitable status depends on it, so it’s possible that we may not be able to support every request. But...if you don’t apply, how will we ever know? You can find our website address by clicking the blue button at the top of our Facebook page. Warm regards on behalf of the Jamie G Sporting Trust. T. Gentleman, Chairman ... See MoreSee Less

The trust was named after former John Hanson student, Jamie Gentleman. The Jamie ‘G’ Sporting Trust has been set up by family and friends to do the following –To carry on promoting fun in sport. To contribute the growth of Youth Sport in the Andover area.To use Jamie’s passing as a starting point to promote, fund and encourage the Andover Young to participate, enjoy and embrace Sport.Committee members Jacqui Gentleman and Nicky Bates from the Jamie ‘G’ sporting trust presented the cheque, with a socially distant photo with Year 7 students and Mr Stevens Head Teacher.
